THE
LAKE HOUSE
WEST SUSSEX
The Lake House is a 1960s-style detached farmhouse situated in an elevated position in West Sussex.
The property has incredible views across the South Downs National Park and has been sympathetically renovated to an extremely high standard.
Our clients had a very specific idea of how they wanted the property to look and had already obtained planning permission before they contracted Reynolds Construction to undertake the works.
Summary of works:
- Completion of a large single-story extension to the lounge and kitchen area situated at the rear of the property. This is a Dutch Barn style extension with sliders on each side and additional glazing panels to extend the view across the lake and beyond.
- Extending the front of the property with a large hallway with pitched roof and fitting the three front entrance doors.
- Removing the existing part-hung tiles and replacing with Cedral cladding to the top half of the property and garage.
- Building a brand new double bay two-story garage with room above and fitting of external spiral staircase.
- Replacing the existing flat roof across the Boot Room and Side Kitchen with a brand new pitched roof.
- Internal works including plastering, decorating, plumbing/heating, internal tiling (two kitchen floors and bar area) and specialist carpentry works to prepare for the fitted kitchen.
- Drainage and guttering/downpipes throughout.
